Running and walking became a trendy mode of exercise for a few years. At the center, we offer our highly sought-after courses on an ongoing basis. Due to popular demand, we revived our Tread and Shred class. Tread and Shred is a four-week course that offers an exciting cross-training experience on the treadmill. In one hour, participants get to focus on cardio, strength and suspension workouts.
During our latest session, we had participants meet us on the Fitness Floor for a full-body workout. Here’s how it worked: The instructor divided class time into treadmill intervals with total-body dumbbell work. The class wrapped up with 15 minutes of suspension training for added core and stability benefits. The interval sessions were perfect for runners and walkers, making this class great for all levels.
Our Tread and Shred program steers away from traditional running workouts. Incorporating cardio, strength and suspension training, keeps your arms active and raised while you build endurance and strengthen your legs.
Tread and Shred is open to several types of walker and runner goals. For instance, we welcome walkers who want to progress their stride and speed. This class is also great for runners who want to experience the variety that they can’t get from a track. The treadmill can provide the resistance and incline they need to level up their mileage. Anyone else who wants to stay in shape with discipline can attend our program too. At the end of the day, we want you to explore a pace that you can get in sync with.
Our participants expressed their gratitude and highlighted what they loved about Tread and Shred. One individual noted, “I was initially intimidated thinking I couldn’t keep up. I realized that all levels of walkers, runners and joggers were welcomed. Plus, instructor Mindy modified exercises to fit everyone’s comfort level and abilities.” Another individual mentioned that Mindy motivated them to keep going during the session. A third individual also noted, “Mindy challenges us to be our best selves and to excel. It’s challenging, but we can do it at our own pace.”
