As the temps heat up, remember these tips to avoid dehydration.
The National Academy of Medicine suggests about 13 cups of water for men and 9 cups of water for women, with 1 cup equaling 8 ounces. Use this as a starting point and adjust accordingly.
Drink a full glass of water as soon as you wake up. This gets you off to the right start after sleeping for several hours without water consumption.
To encourage water drinking throughout the day, invest in a good water bottle to take on the go. It will be a reminder to accomplish your daily water goal.
Cucumbers, grapes, watermelon, and strawberries are just a few of the dietary options that have high water content. These foods will add to your daily water intake.
Choose low-sugar electrolyte options to keep your sodium levels balanced as you increase your water intake.
